Andrea Pozza has been an important figure in the international jazz scene for more than 25 years.
A graduate of the Nicoló Pagannini Conservatory in his home town of Genoa, Italy, he has appeared on stage with legendary musicians like Harry “Sweets” Edison, Bobby Durham, Chet Baker, Al Grey, George Coleman, Sal Nistico, Scott Hamillton, Lee Konitz, Massimo Urbani, Larry Nocella, Luciano Milanese, with who he is playing since more than 25 years.
Pozza’s original sound has been inspired by many master jazz pianists including Teddy Wilson, Bud Powell, Bill Evans, Winton Kelly and McCoy Tyner.

From 2004-2008, Pozza was a member of the Enrico Rava quintet, with whom he recorded The Words and Days (2007) for the ECM Label. This quintet performed at prestigious Jazz Festivals and Concert Halls in France, England, Germany, Spain Portugal, USA, Canada, Brasil, Argentina Japan and hosted important guest like Roswell Rudd and Pat Metheny.
Now playing in the Rosario Bonaccorso quartet, Pozza will be featured on the soon to be released album Appunti di Viaggi produced by Auditorium of Roma.
As a member of various groups led by Steve Grossman, Pozza performed in London, Paris, and important Jazz Festivals around the world.
He is also a permanent member of the Gianni Basso quartet with whom he has recorded many CDs among them a highly acclaimed album dedicated to the music of Billy Strayhorn and together with saxophonist Dick De
Graff, he is leading the "Out of the Blue(s)" project.

As a leader, Pozza has recorded 4 CDs with his trio:
"Introducing" for Philology Records, "PlaysEllington, Monk, and Himself" for Gofour Records, "Love Walked In" for the English 33Records and “Drop this Thing” for Dejavu Records.

He is a regular collaborator with Bob Bonisolo, Tulio DePiscopo, Alan Farrington, Dado Moroni, Bruno Marini, Carlo Atti, Piero Odorici and singer Andrea Celeste with their soon to be released duo recording “Enter
Eyes”
.

Andrea is also currently working with Bob Bonisolo, Aldo Zunino and Shane Forbes on a recording project for Dejavu Records.
